Mrs. Alanis Obomsawin, renowned documentarist at the National Film Board of Canada. She has been honoured in 2006 Abenaki Pow wow.






Every christmas, all the Odanak's children receive a lot of presents from Alanis.

Thanks to her generosity!

In the amount of documentairies, Alanis Obomsawin realized the movies Sigwan (2005) and Waban-Aki: People of the rising sun (2006), a movie that represents the reality of the Abenaki Nation.

She was named Présidente d'Honneur of our 2007 Fundraser gala of the Société Historique d'Odanak.
