The following neighborhoods are located close to each other, so it will not be challenging to go from one spot to another. We have chosen three of our favorites for your perusal.

They are all inviting and safe, but they each have a different atmosphere.

Old Québec

History lovers will adore this part of the city. Enclosed by fortifications, it feels like something straight out of the past. The ramparts offer a stunning view of the city, so we hope you have comfortable shoes on.

The winding streets might make you think you are in Europe instead!

Saint-Jean-Baptiste

This bohemian enclave is found between Montcalm and Old Québec. Saint-Jean-Baptiste is considered a foodie paradise, so this is the best neighborhood when you are hungry.

The colorful houses make for fun strolls, while the bakeries, gourmet groceries, and chocolate shops will leave you full and delighted.

Montcalm

Considered an artsy neighborhood, Montcalm has earned this reputation with Musée national des beaux‑arts du Québec. It is a scenic spot with the Plains of Abraham behind it.

The houses in the upper town area are all elegant and beautiful. If you are in dire need of a cultural fix, you can satiate your thirst thanks to all the theater, music, film, art, and fine food to be enjoyed here.

These are some of the best neighborhoods, but Saint-Sauveur, Limoilou, and Saint Roch are amazing in their own right as well.

As one would expect, there is never a dull moment no matter where you find yourself in Québec City.
